Amy Heumiller

OTR/L | Occupational Therapist

A native of Salem, South Dakota, Amy graduated from Salem High School in 1985. She received her prerequisites at South Dakota State University in Brookings, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree for Occupational Therapy in 1990 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated Cum Laude from Creighton and has been a practicing licensed Occupational Therapist since 1990.

Amy has experience in several areas including but not limited to Outpatient Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Long Term Care, Home Health, and Pediatrics. Amy has received specialized training in Shoulder and Hand rehab, Medically Complex disease management such as Cardiopulmonary and Cancer rehab, and is a Master Clinician in Dementia Care for those with cognitive decline from Alzheimer's, Stroke and Head Injuries.


When not helping her clients, Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, supporting local athletics and community efforts, Shine Dance, crafts, and reading. Amy, her family continue to make Salem their home.
