You can unlock three Unforgivable Curses in Hogwarts Legacy: Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra. To obtain these spells, you must progress through the main storyline and complete side missions, specifically the "In the Shadow" quest line. You will unlock this questline after meeting Sebastian Salo, a Slytherin companion, and completing a few missions with him。

At this point, Sebastian will begin teaching the player how to use Avada Kedavra and add it to their spell list. If players select either of the other options in this dialogue they won't learn the spell but be given a second opportunity to learn it later by meeting Sebastian in the Undercroft.
